A thankful bunch

With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season already approaching, I become more and more thankful for Thanksgiving. It is quickly becoming my favorite holiday because, in a society where busy is best, it’s the one day of the year that is dedicated to giving thanks, relaxing, and counting your blessings.

liquidfish has lots to be thankful for this year:

  • This year, three employees got married (Zack, Katylee, and Christina) and two (Cody and Billy) welcomed new babies into the world!
  • liquidfish also won 6th at Metro 50 this year. That means we’re the 6th fastest growing company in Oklahoma City – what an honor!
  • We also expanded our team with two new employees (Chris H. and Kenny)

So, in the spirit of counting blessings, I wanted to share what our team is thankful for this year. I hope it gives you a new understanding of our company and what motivates us daily.

Cody Blake, Owner and CEO: “I'm thankful for my health, my kids, my family and knowing that I am saved by God's grace and not by my life's work, performance, decisions or actions.”

Wendy Johnson, Social Media Director: “First of all, I'm thankful that I get to be a mom to two ornery and smart children who still get excited each time they see me. I'm thankful for people, like my husband, who unselfishly protect and serve our state – for people that run towards danger when everyone else is running away. I'm thankful that even after 11 years of marriage, Kyle and I still love and like each other. I'm thankful for many other things: wonderful friends, this country and our freedom, an awesome job and co-workers, and strong coffee. But most importantly, I'm thankful for the love, forgiveness, and grace I've found through Jesus.”

Billy Davis, Lead Developer: “I am thankful for my Savior, my beautiful wife and my daughter Avy!"

Christina Lindsey, Copywriter: “I’m thankful for family, friends, and this wonderful group of coworkers. I plan on spending the holidays with my husband (yay!) and our families, and maybe spending a yoga class or two in gratitude for the beauty and joy I experience each and every day.”

Katylee Moehlenbrock, Account Executive: “I am thankful and grateful for my loving husband, supportive family, and faithful friends. Oh and also for some tasty chips and queso!"

Jonathan Davis, SEO: “I’m thankful for friends, challenging hobbies, and a great job, and I plan to celebrate the holidays with my family and a few gallons of sangria.”

Madeline Haigh, Project Manager: “I'm thankful for Saturday brunch mimosas, Gilmore Girl's revival, new hangouts in OKC, my sweet pup Indy, my fishy coworkers, and my steadfast friends and family.”

Chris Haan, Developer: “I am thankful for my family, my health, and my job. Even though my family is pretty spread out these days, I can always count on getting to catch up with family members around the holidays.”

Christopher Lee, Creative Director: “I’m thankful for my very supportive and loving family. And also donuts.”

Amanda Gary (me), Social Media Specialist: “I’m thankful for a lot of things. I’m thankful for health, forgiveness, and renewed hope. I’m thankful for the memories I have with those that have passed away this year and the joy of knowing I’ll see them again. I’m also thankful for pizza and the gym.”

We hope everyone has safe and happy Thanksgiving. From all of us here at liquidfish,

Happy holidays!
