Oklahoma City, Okla. - April 30, 2015 - Digital marketing and custom development company liquidfish addresses its customers' and partners' concerns over Google's mobile search changes, also known as Mobilegeddon.

Google has launched an algorithm to favor sites that are mobile friendly. This means that people who use Google to search on their smartphone may not find many of their favorite sites at the top of the rankings. Sites that aren't updated could find themselves ranked lower, perhaps resulting in business losses. Websites that are designed and developed using responsive techniques will not be adversely affected and may be rewarded with higher rankings than their competitors.

For those website operators with concerns, liquidfish recommends the following actions:

  • Open Google search on your smartphone, find your website and look for the mobile-friendly label:

  • Go to Google test if you need additional evaluation
  • Open Google in a mobile browser and search to see if competitors' sites are mobile friendly
  • Notify liquidfish at info@liquidfish.com if you have further questions or concerns
